We have a hobie wave that's a rental at work. The boat had a jib at one point and would like to get it back on. The boss doesn't want to really spend money as he doesn't really think we need it. All I need is the bow spreader bar. I have some old tillar crossbars. Will these work or is the spreader bar heavier construction?

Jib and jib halyard
Jib blocks and jib sheet
Bow spreader pole and Tangs for bow spreader pole
misl nuts and bolts and shackles -

We have several waves also and I tried a Jib on one.....add little if any performance and is just more parts to break. I know it would be nice to make those little tug boats faster but I am afraid you may be wasting time on a Jib.

Thanks for the info. I have everything else that I need except the spreader bar. I think that's where my boss is at with it, plus he says it'll be more prone to pitch pole -
