What are the requirements of a vessel to be classed as a Luxury Yacht?

To be classed as a Luxury Yacht, the vessel needs to be over 100’/30m in length, and will generally only sleep 12 guests. Yachts that carry more than 12 guests are bound by a different set of rules, however still classed as a Yacht, you can be assured that as a guest on board you will be treated like royalty.

a yacht is a vessel used for pleasure.

But I bet for the guy who's compounding the fiberglass and refinishing all the brightwork, it's still a boat.
