Getting a New Cat  Bottom

  • Hello all, I am a bigger guy (250) and am considering an F16 for racing. I really struggle with finding a crew. So getting an F18 seems out. However, if I had a regular crew, that would be the way to go. Which F16 has the most buoyancy and will tolerate my weight the best? I am in MN, So I'll likely have to travel to WI to race it. Although have just learned about the White Bear group.

    Thanks

  • Dave,

Nothing wrong with what you have, one of the best - a Nacra 6.0 is fabulous!

  • My Viper has a lot of buoyancy up front, we've driven the bows pretty deep and been ably to recover. I've never driven a Blade or Falcon, so my info is pretty one sided haha. The Blades I've seen appear to have a smaller bow than the Viper, and it seems as if I've read they may be a little more prone than the newer boats. I could be wrong on that though.
