    There is far more loading from your knee when climbing up onto the hull. I have never heard of damage to a hull from a righting line.
    The most common cause of damage when righting is flopping onto the hull & sticking the hook on your harness through the hull.

  • I put together a block for the righting bag. Used an old H16 jib traveler, a double sheave, and a single sheave that I had in my box 'o junk.
