  • Nice work Charlie. klatsch I already was a fan of your bad gybe wipeout videos.

I have fond memories of being bucked off a 5.2 many times. In warmer waters, of course.

Thanks for watching and being a fan, it means a lot. Water is getting cold here last week for us on the water. Hope to play more, race a little less next season.

Thanks for the watch and reply, glad you enjoyed it. The video software I use is the free version of Davinci Resolve. I'm still learning how to use it, but learn more with every video.
    thanks

Well dark video @ intro was a result of the text effect. I would of preferred a bit brighter but that is the effect of having a punchy contrast to the titling. Music: sorry you didn't like the music, sailing is considered dying sport so modernizing exposure I feel will continue to appeal the upcoming days. Music on the web is also copyrighted so having free sharing music is a challenge. thanks for giving your opinion.

Glad you weren't offended by my opinion :)
I am not against edm - it's just that track sounded like rebirth on a loop
somehow i have gotten away with music in most of my videos

how did you mount your gopro (or whatever camera) on the 5.2 sans a pole?
and what the heck is that on the hobie16? looks like alum flatbar?
  • Enjoyed the video Charlie, nice to see all of the different views.
We never made it over to CSA this year, but it looks like you were having fun.
Hope to run into you again some time.

The 5.2 mast mount was made by a swivel chair caster a schedule 80 pvc pipe and some weights to balance a gopro at the opposite end. It allow a lot of motion but not controlled. the mounting to mast was done with an aluminum "L" bracket with holes that match the wheel pins at top of mast. Obviously hard to explain.

I used this in my Dauphin Island video a few years ago.

H16 was an custom fitted aluminum square stock bar I think about 16ft long. crazy rig, but produced some really unique shots.
