Beach ladders  Bottom

  • The water level in the Great Lakes is finally up and for the first time in four years, instead of resting on the beach, my Prindle 16 was in the water. Short of building the cradles demonstrated by Popeyez7, I opted for a pair of ladders.

Materials were less than $80: pressure treated 2x6x12', 1.25" EMT conduit covered by 1.5" PVC for rollers every 2', 2 large "v" rollers at the front for loading (surplus from the local marina).

The hulls are out of the water and the boat is much easier to launch and beach now. I will work on posting pictures - not as obvious as clicking a button unfortunately.
  • great id like to see it. have you tried photobucket for your pics? upload them then copy and paste the [img] line
  • Figured out the picture post......besides getting the hulls out of the water, the ladders have proved to make launching and beaching simple. No more dragging on the sand.
