Full blue moon sailing tonight! Anyone else??  Bottom

  • Got a group of us going sailing tonight in N. Mississippi at Arkabuttla lake. Any of you guys getting your boats out for a moonlight sail!

  • How was your outing, Tim? We had 7 boats go out for a sunset/blue moon sail here on The Rez. Awesome moonlight, perfect temps, and a good, steady, low-humidity 10-12 out of the NNE. That just doesn't happen in MS during July/August!

  • Most of us sat on the shore watching the moon come up. It's been a TERRIFIC summer for sailing here, but the past two nights we've had 2-3 kt winds. A few folks did go out, but...

  • John and I were sittin' on the beach, awaiting the moonrise. It finally crested the Mission Mountains to the east, and set the lake afire! We finally noticed the building breeze, and saddled up Lunatic Fringe for a moonlit frolic. Enough pressure to fly a hull, upwind and down, a blue moon cruise to remember!
