tiller repair  Bottom

  • In my inimitable style, I broke the Murrays fiberglass tiller I was using. For repair - any ideas? Epoxy + rod inside, or sleeve outside?
  • Thanks, 'Guest!'
  • Westmatt,
    What style tiller have you?
One piece, fixed length, any coatings on the outside?
Have you called Murray's to see what they suggest?

  • I got a 16" piece of carbon fiber tube that fits nicely inside the fixed length fiberglass tube of the tiller - I will epoxy that inside and I think i'll be ready to go.

    thanks,
    -Matt
  • Just be sure to clean the tube and tiller, sand both, wipe with acetone and use a longer setting epoxy. Butter up the insides as well as tubing to ensure you get a full bond. It’ll work

  • Yeah, it worked like a charm. Unless you're really looking, you don't notice the repair.
