Hi, we're two dudes in our early 50's who have been launching our Hobie 18 off Fort Moultrie on Sullivan's Island, SC for about 3 years now. We almost always sail in open ocean either going out the channel and rounding buoys 17/18 about 3 miles out then turning left to Windjammers on Isle of Palms, or out Dynamite Hole to Folly Beach or just beaching on Morris Island. We have many years of sailing experience and still have lots of questions and are looking forward to some expert advice and sharing what we can.
