What size (width) cat trax for Prindle 16?  Bottom

  • Want to buy cat trax for Prindle 16... What size should I get?

  • Measure under the bottom from the outside edge of the hull to the other at the side stays. I think it is 8 feet ish, but you should measure to be sure before you buy anything.

  • You need the 8 foot axle without cradles.

  • OK... Have ordered 8ft Cat Trax... Next question... Can I use a bike lock to lock it to my trailer while I'm on the water?... Or is there some other system?... Thanks for info... icon_smile

  • use a ss cable 8' in length with a small loop at each end. i run the cable under the front crossbar, thru the cutouts in the boards, and use a combination lock that is inserted thru a hole in the end of the axle and thru the 2 loops. i store the boat on a beach, you might need more length for the trailer. just measure.
