I just realized that it's not obvious when browsing the classifieds that "Catamaran Wanted" and "Parts Wanted" are always free for site members. If you are logged in you should be able to place a free Wanted ad even if you are already running other ads.
There is one small catch, if you are running a free Wanted ad as your only ad and then you go to place a "For Sale" ad you will have to pay because the system thinks you've already used up your "first ad free" allotment. Shortcoming in the current programming.
