Many attach it directly to the upper blocks.
Your pelican hook is attaching your lower blocks to the traveller. It might make tear down 10 seconds quicker, but you’re losing the ability to go “block-to-block”. Boom lees rigs LIKE main sheet tension. Your mast does not use a rotator to control mast rotation, the mast rotated correctly automatically, BUT, it requires tension. Anything you do to give up that ability affects performance upwind.
The lower block attaches to the traveller with a short bow shackle. In this photo, Notice how I could open the “S” hook, & attach it directly to the upper blocks. I have a low profile system, a fair bit shorter than yours, so I don’t bother, but in the N5.0, (without low profile blocks), we do it to gain a bit.
