For the older boats, it will depend on the condition as to what I would pay, but can't see paying $1000 for a 5.2 or similar type older boat that will need a bunch of work ( money pit).
One thing I have going for me is I maintain and repair / modify aluminum and composite aircraft structures for a living........... so fixing these type boats is not a problem for me.
