This should get the vane clear ahead of the foresail, above the hulls, and just below the foot of the sail. At the forward end of the arm, I'll bend it up to vertical. A shaft collar just above the bend and a second one at the upper end of the arm should provide a good pivot for the vane. Not exactly jeweled bearings, but pretty simple. Tom[/quote]
