Reply to: What Winter Projects Do You Have?
I'm thinking of selling my trailer, as it just takes up space & have never used it since bringing the boat home. After experimenting with the seadoo lift to hold my cat I will now fabricate what worked best out of metal. The wood beams float the cradle, so I had to tie weights on it to keep it sunk when the Cat was off. Worked, but not as convenient as I want it. My original sails are going to the loft to have UV strip put on the jib, & a tear in the bolt rope are fixed. I pulled off the traveler to wash out as it seems to be binding, & I replaced the traveler cleat & put the stolen parts back on my Invitation. I also picked up some sail repair tape during the pass through Carpenteria, Ca. I see signs of the sailsbattens rubbing on the shrouds, so I want to run a wear strip along each batten that touches. I'm ordering some new hi tech line to lace the rear of the tramp. Biggest project is going to be removing the paint that was used on the lower 1/2 of the hulls & buffing them back to original. The paint starts to chelate & everytime you brush the hull now you get it on you. Only 3 months Damon? Lucky guy, we are stuck till the end of April, unless you want to go the drysuit route.Edited by Edchris177 on Nov 23, 2010 - 08:25 AM.
