You can add support for side sway by taking a trap line on each side and tying taught to the front crossbeam on the outside edges. This will help the side sway more when the mast in not very high as it is tied into the fulcrum, with your side stays a ways back from the fulcrum they offer no support until the mast is pretty much up.
