Why are battens hard to ship? All UPS stores have 2" tubing. Buy 4, slit ends about 2" and stick them together. Put 7 longer ones in, then shorter ones from other end. Put caps on & tape. They allow up to 109" and will be $30-45 anywhere. Pete

Rapidrabit, Wondering if I may call you to ask you a few more questions about your boat and inquire about boat parts etc, jib install, etc. I have a P15 that I am looking to restore and your input would be most valuable. I have been told by other veterans that these boats are very easy and very sea-worhty despite the shorter size. My number 630-779-8910.
