a carbon wrap once reassembled
4 tow foot peices of light plywood were liberally bogged, inserted half way into the butt, and screwed into place temporarly til the epoxy kicked off. Then we bogged up the protruding splints, slid the mast over 'em, aligned it carefully, and applied a few more drywall screws thru the mast walls into the splints. Here's where the heat gun and beer come in. 45 min later we're sanding the splice and wrapping with biaxial carbon.. Called that an evening's labor.
