andrews port setup

I believe this is Andrews (MN3)drum setup.In this case he simply ties the tack to the ring atop the drum. I think the line attached to the bridal via the white clip is 1/2 of a sister clip used as the halyard.
If you look closely, I think you can see how he attaches the forestay, via a Portuguese turnbuckle. A PT makes it really easy to tension the rig, BUT, you have to be careful when undoing things...it’s easy to untie the last half hitch, & with slippery line, the entire thing comes apart, dropping the mast.
