Transom Repair H-18

When we found the port hull taking on lots of water, the search led us to a cracked transom. It is a wonder the rudder gudgeon did not pull out. The repair involved cutting the broken section out of the transom, repairing that piece, adding mounting blocks inside the hull, and putting the broken piece back in. With new gelcoat, the repair looks great and is rock solid. The hull has been staying dry.
