Hokulea

Hokulea was built by the Polynesian Voyaging Society as part of Americas Bi-Centenial celebration. Over the years she has become more than just another boat built to embrace the past. She is Hawaii, an ambassador of peace, a tool for education and much much more. Hokuleas journey has ignited the desire for others to emulate what was done on Maui. Now other voyaging canoes are either in the water, under construction or in the planning stages. Makalii, Aligano Maisu, Hawaii-loa are just a few of the voyaging canoes that have been born of Hokulea
