This is where the old mast rotation rod was bolted to the mast. The mast got dropped on the rod and it punched through the front of the mast leaving a nasty irregular bunch of cracked and torn aluminum. I have now ground out all of the deformed and cracked material to make a smooth elliptical hole about 3/4" wide and 1" high.
