Stored Detail from Bow

It sticks a bit out and - 'cause of the dolphin striker it's a bit low. If it touches the waves it slows you down. Any suggestions to improve?
Also I use now a clip on solution to put it back in place, but a bit cumbersom in wavy conditions...
