The rudder bars were sloppy also. The tubes are a bit smaller than the holes in the castings. Previous owner had rolled some plastic tape on the tube to make it fit. As you can see the holes are worn out and oversize. I'm thinkin of wrapping some fiberglass on the tubes and sanding after curing to make them snug and then redrill holes for the rivets from the top of casting.
