80 grit garnet is what I'm using with the sandblaster and my tests show this works really well. It only cleans out the loose or oxidized aluminum and doesn't want to eat up the aluminum itself. A little bit of this stuff goes a long way. I bought a 55 lb. bag and it looks like I will have a lot left over for some other project.
