My other hobby...

My son and I are building an airplane. We did the first taxi test last night.

You can also see our catamaran fleet in the video, just to keep this sort of on topic.

I used to fly gliders a lot and have owned a couple. There were always lots of sailors in my glider clubs. There is some overlap there.

we have a few pilots in our fleet here too

looks fun! needs hobie stripes :)
Very cool, I have never heard of a waiex, but I sure thought it looked like a Sonex icon_wink . That has to be a great feeling. I am quite jealous of that hangar.

I have a 172, I find flying and sailing tends to attract the same types. My initial sail designs had way more to do with aviation experience than sail boats.

The 172 is a great airplane. If my wife didn't hate flying I'd have a 172 instead of the Waiex.

I've done one sail design using Freecut CAD. Made two copies of it and I had made one sail before Freecut CAD. The first sail was horrible. Hope to do more for my catamarans. Just as a hobby, not a business.
