I am on the lookout for a Nacra 500. They seem to be very few and far between. I believe they came out around 2005, and assuming boat sales dried up in 08. Maybe folks like them so much they don't want to sell them. Or both?

They are still in production, and I think some fleet sales have been made in more recent times.

If you aren't in a rush you may be able to piggy back onto a container...

The NACRA 500 is almost the same as the old 5.0. I believe it changed over to NACRA 500 In 99/2000. Awesome boat. Love mine. Got back into the sport about 2yrs ago when I picked up a NACRA 450. Sailed it for about a season and a half until I saw a 500 pop up for sale and I immediately jumped on it. It's a keeper.

But like you said, people buy them and rarely sell them. I can think of only a couple for sale in the last 5 years.
We have new and very slightly used demo boats for stock in our U.S. warehouse in Illinois.

Is there a link to inventory for US? I got on a BNR website across the pond, obviously shipping back isn't my first choice. I should ask how often do containers come over, where do they unload, and what is fee? Assume non urgent time frame. Thanks.

Does Nacra sell these Illinois boats direct? Or through dealers? If you sell direct why not post them all in the classifieds, since you are a banner advertiser it is free. If they are sold through dealers I can get Key Sailing to post them if they have the details.
