Nacra Inter 20 carbon mast

Dear all,

What do you guys think about fixing, with rivets, a swivel cam block on an Inter 20 carbon mast to raise the spi? Is, in your opinion, the structure of the mast strong enough to sustain the stress of the sail?
Thanks in advance.

Many owners have done so and it is a nice upgrade for stand up spin sets. Go ahead.

I too contemplated this... At the time the factory was local to me and I had asked the opinion from them... it was not recommended... They were experiencing some issues with the rotator bar with elongating holes and becoming lose, and thought this would put a similar bouncing pressure on the mast creating an identical problem... hence the upgrade to the F-18 style mast base. As per

I changed it over to a system using one of these... it never got jammed up after that

If you have a Nacra Inter with a carbon mast and are experiencing elongated holes on the rotator, or even if you haven't yet....

Highly recommend getting get one of these.
