Cheap Source for LED Trailer Lights?

I've been doing some searching for LED trailer lights either as a kit (with side markers) or individual. Prices seem pretty standard retail everywhere.

Anyone have a secret source for good deals on these?

Damon,
I've seen them at Harbor Freight, but wasn't looking closely, so I don't know the details. Might be worth checking out.

DaveFarmerDamon,

They don't have LED marker lights, at least at the store near me.

Decent prices and good quality. If you combine different parts shipping is cheap.

I should add that I went to all LED lights for reliability, though you can mix them on the same harness without any problems.

Used eTrailer for two car hitches and wiring and the re-wire on my trailer.

I have a roll of 12v LED's, trim them then solder into existing back and side markers. They're super bright and could probably be installed in an hour or two. Free for ya Damon icon_biggrin
I'm planning in running a couple feet inside my hobie toy box and on the trailer to light up the area when packing up after dark or being able to inspect the tiedowns at night when trailering. Have a couple 12v 7AH batteries I was gonna put in a little waterproof box inside the toy box so they can be turned on without a vehicle hooked up ( they'll charge when driving ) LEDs draw next to no power.

harbor freight best deal for lights and they work. there is a coupon for this month, i bought a set of magnetized lights that i had to duck-taped to the trialer and they held on and worked from long island, NY to ft. launderer, fl. membership at harbor freight every month e.g. coupon this month magnetic towing light kit $11.99. I paid full price $30.00.
Harbor Freight does not require membership, they do have on-line coupons all the time, right now they have the 2-piece submersible LED lights for just $42, usually $70. I like the newer slim-line lights, 8" X 2.7/8", they fit the trailer frame and are not as prone to damage

the old style 4.5 X 4.5 lights are slightly cheaper, are a little more bulky and are prone to damage because they stick out, but do give you those side markers

and then there is a rubber mounted submersible with which I have no experience ...

It goes without saying that ALL trailer lights are susceptible to damage from direct impact

Do you have a link to get the coupon? I just bought a set of magnetic lights but for $12 I'd pick up another.

These temporary lights are a great backup to keep on hand during trips in case your boat suddenly goes dark during a long night haul.

After switching to all LED lights, including side markers, on my H18 I'm never going back to bulbs again.

I can't count the times I spent on the ground outside a parts store in the hot summer trying to get my lights to work or figure out if a bulb was really out and how to get the GOSH DARN plastic light housing open to change it!

The people who built my tilt trailer put them in an armoured enclosure that can double as a step.
LED is the only way to go, incandescent bulbs that get wet just do not last.
