Cleaner/Wax/Other Recommendations for a Newbie?

Hi All,
I have a '86 H16 which is looking kinda dull.
B4 I run out and waste money on "Ginsu" cleaners, do you seasoned veterens have recommendations for a product that might restore some luster?

Thanks!

For cleaning the grime and oxidation off of fiberglass hulls, nothing beats Oxalic Acid for price and effectiveness.

It's available in powder form at your local grocery store as Barkeepers Friend, or in hardware stores as various brands of wood bleach in the paint section.

dissolve the powder in a bucket of warm water, wearing dish washing gloves lightly scrub a thin paste on the hulls, let it sit without drying for 10-15 minutes and then hose it off.

Your hulls will be much cleaner, repeat if necessary. When you are done with the Oxalic Acid your hulls will be pretty but very prone to staining again, you will need to polish and wax afterwords to keep it looking pretty.

Show us some before and after pictures!
