texas 300 crash video

DAMN! That was brutal!

Was that a rogue wave that threw them to leeward and flipped the boat? Cripes, watching their mast pop almost made me cry. Any idea if they were able to fix things and get back on the water, or was that it?

Thanks for posting.

apparently the mast broke and the main got shredded....expensive!

but having made all that effort to get there

and pretty much everyone knowing crashes like that are not uncommon

parts were on hand and with a new mast and sail

they are back in the race

as to why it happened Jake over at catsailor says

the best way to get off a beach like that is not to try and sail straight out through the breakers

but to reach along between them and try to sail around them

or at least choose where you go over

also the crew was slow getting back from lowering the dagger

and while in the right position needed to be just a bit further forward and holding on
wow, i saw it from the justintv video from the shore, but they just panned over after the boat turtled, didn't really get to see what happened. this is certainly a better perspective
