Lake Michigan in August simply can't be beat:  the sun high and warm, beautiful dunes as a backdrop, the water clear and warm (well - as warm as it gets!), the winds more manageable, and the beaches full.  We launch from a protected area inside the south breakwater and race out on the big lake.
