Description: 2015 Topper Topaz 14CX catamaran. It’s in excellent condition with like-new sails, a full set of gear, and light, careful use. Always stored covered and off the ground. This is a versatile, low-maintenance beach cat that’s easy to sail and tow, but still capable of performance sailing with a spinnaker and dual trapeze. Includes: Aluminum trailer Main sail, jib, and asymmetric spinnaker (all crisp and in like-new condition) Dual trapeze setup Hiking harness Life jacket Mast float – helps prevent turtling during a capsize Protective cover – trampoline and hulls have been protected from UV exposure Kick-up rudders for easy launching and shallow water sailing Sailing & Handling: The Topaz 14 is light, fast, and surprisingly stable for a cat this size. Fun for solo sailors or two-person crews. The dual trapeze (for youth sailing...not required for adults) and spinnaker allow for excellent performance, especially in stronger breeze, while the wide beam and hull design keep it forgiving for newer sailors. It’s easy to launch from the beach or a ramp, and the shallow draft plus kick-up rudders make it ideal for lake shores or shallow coastal areas. Construction & Maintenance: Rotomolded polyethylene hulls – extremely durable, no gelcoat or fiberglass to worry about (a big bonus for youth sailers) Scratches and minor hull damage can be repaired with a heat gun/soldering iron and plastic weld rod – much easier than fiberglass repair Lightweight anodized aluminum mast Simple rigging is straightforward to set up and operate The hulls have not been exposed to long-term sun damage — the included fitted cover took the UV wear, not the trampoline or hulls. That’s kept the trampoline and plastic in excellent shape.
