Description: 1999 Hobie Miracle 20. As always the boat is in perfect shape, ready to race!... ok really, the boat is in good shape ready to sail.

The hulls are in good shape, no soft spots or delamination. One is a 1999 and one is a 2000, I have no idea why. Bottom job 2 years ago and other than the normal wear and tear of a 20 year old boat they’re just fine. The running rigging is anywhere from 1 to 5 years old. The standing rigging is two years old except for the trapeze wires which are 5 years old. There is an extra set of diamond wires and other extra standing rigging pieces. I have one original Main sail and one 2008 mainsail, the 2008 raises and lowers just fine and except for some normal wear and tear is about a 6 out of 10. I also have one original Jib and one from approx. 2006, the original needs a zipper, the 2006 is about a 5 of 10, and is missing a batten. The boat comes equipped with a roller furler for the jib, there are also parts for the original non roller forestay but I’ve never tried to rig it so I couldn’t tell you if it’s all there. The rudder system is in good shape, we swapped out the H20 gudgeons with H18 gudgeons due to availability of parts and the H18 being easier to setup. The trampoline needs a little TLC, it’s a mesh tramp which works fine but the pocket cover ripped off last year and it has a hole in it which has been there since we bought it and never changed.

The trailer is in good shape as well, upgraded the wheels to 13” and replaced the leaf springs and hardware last year as well as redid all the lights. The trailer is even registered and I have all the paperwork on it. The trailer has a PVC sail tube on it but the lid was lost so it’s pretty much useless, it also has a large plastic storage box mounted on the front. I extended the mast support so you can use it to help raise/lower the mast using the boat winch.

Now the bad stuff. There is a repair on the left hull at the rear corner where something fell on it. It’s been fixed however, it still needs paint (picture). We were gonna repaint the hulls this winter but back surgery sidelined those plans. One of the negative mast rotation cleats needs to be re-installed after the threads holding it are fixed. And last the boat is 20 years old and has been sailed a lot so it always needs some TLC. It’s been well cared for the last 6 years and we’ve done a lot to it including rebuilt or replaced all the blocks/cleats, upgraded the downhaul to 6:1 as well as numerous other small items and work. I’d rather tell you up front what’s wrong than have you show up and start going through the list of degraded items you find while going over it.

The boat comes with everything you should need except personal safety items. It includes a set of Cat Trax, two Hobie full harnesses, an extra dagger board, dagger board bag, trampoline bags, righting bucket and numerous other extra parts and tools.

I’m happy to walk you through rigging it although you could probably rig it from the Hobie manual and sail just fine. I’m also happy to send you any requested pictures and/or let you look at it at your convenience.
