Description: 1995 Prindle Escape 18 - this model is designed for family use with 18 foot hulls and removable wings. The sail rig is for a 16ft boat (smaller sail area) and utilizes a boom-less main. Pricing includes a 1997 Performance trailer, cat tracks, jib and main, all sheets and rigging. The boat has a new trampoline and new canvas on the wings along with some new rigging. The boat and rigging are in great shape, but there are a few nicks here and there on the hulls. The trailer is registered and has magnetic lights with tires that are rated for 55 mph. The photos show the rudders removed only because we do not store the boat with the rudders on. The rudders are included in the sale.

The wording in the ad has been corrected. The boat does not have a 16 foot mast. This is a Prindle Escape with 18 foot hulls and the sail rig for a 16 footer. The reason is this was designed as a family boat and the 18 foot rig is pretty aggressive and was used mainly for racing. The 16 foot rig has smaller sail area hence it is more maneuverable for family sailing. Sorry for the confusion and thank you for pointing out the error in the wording.

16 foot mast? That seems like 10 feet too short for an 18

Yes, the Prindle Escape has the wings because it was designed for family use. I don't have photos of them attached - the wings are stored in a warehouse as we don't have room at the house. I Googled it and didn't find any images. If you are close by to Boynton Beach and are interested, we can meet and put them on so you can see how they work. I love them because you can get your weight out on the wing and still steer the boat with the tiller.
