Wind Conditions: Excellent Water Conditions: Excellent Launch facilities: Excellent Beach conditions: Excellent Traffic conditions: Excellent Safety: Fair Charges: $6.00 car for the day w/in-out About the place: I-20 West out of Dallas to Greater Southwest Pkwy, south to split-stay to right. After 4 way stop sign go through "S", first entrance on the left. Follow signs in park to boat ramp 1 & 2. Entire point devoted to sailing craft that beach. Boats that fly pirate or Texas flags are regulars and friendly...please approach. Not necessary to use boat ramps. Police patrol regularly and are friends of regulars so drinking os allowed as long as it is cans and in a cover. Lake is safe for boating and well patrolled although it is wise to watch all jet skiis approaching. Swimming is at own risk, no life guard on duty. Regulars are always watching if not sailing.ng.
