Don't let the name fool you, the only things orange at this beach might be a bikini or a sunset, the sand is pure white and the water is a beautiful emerald green. There is usually a light chop in the Gulf of Mexico (1-2 feet) to make things interesting on a small cat. If that's too rough for you, just sail about 2 minutes inland to Perdido Bay for some great sailing. This bay isn't very large, but offers some impressive wind and usually smooth water conditions. If you want a "bigger pond to play in", just about 25 miles west is Mobile Bay. It's an enormous bay that stretches 22 miles inland and is anywhere from 6 to 14 miles wide depending on how far inland you go!
