This puts it almost exactly between Houston and Corpus. The beach is about 5 miles long. This place has exactly what cat sailors are looking for lots of steady wind and relatively flat water. If you need accomodations,I would suggest that you stay in Port Lavaca, although the beach is unrestricted. You can camp anywhere on the beach, and there are some pavillions available for picnicing. There's a bar / hamburger / dance hall on the beach, or bring a picnic. This is one great bay to catamaran sail!!
