Sand Harbor is located just 4 miles south of Incline Village, NV on Hwy 28. This is one of the top 10 beaches in the world. The ramp facilities are second to none and there is a cove beach just for boats. If you are looking for more than just a great day of sailing, this is the place. The water is so clear that you can see the bottom of the lake until it drops off to several hundred feet. The mountians that surround this area are spectacular. But sailing here is even better. The winds are great most days and for the more challenged...just wait until late afternoon. This is when the winds really kick up and the lake gets just enough clop to do some wave jumping. One word of caution, this is a large lake and it can experience sea like conditions, come perpared with a PFD, and a half wet suit is you are not use to high attidute lakes...they can be cold.
