Very little motor boat traffic. Lake Waconia is located off County Road 5 in Carver County west of Minneapolis. There is a public boat launch and beach in addition to the private launch used by the Lake Waconia Sailing Club. The lake is home to the Lake Waconia Sailing Club (catamarans)and has a marina for monohulls. There is also an excellent restaurant right on the lake.
