Wind Conditions: Excellent
Water Conditions: Excellent
Launch facilities: Fair
Beach conditions: Fair
Traffic conditions: Good
Safety: Fair

Charges: free launch site at county park

About the place:
This used to be more of a mecca, but usage has declined with the decline of catamaran sailing. Launch area is on south shore of Cedar Creek, a brackish estuary feeding into Barnegat Bay. Fairly heavy PWC usage on weekends, but once you get out of launch area the bay is wide open. Tricky points: launch area is shallow for a few hundred feet; crossing intracaostal waterway channel on weekends. Garden State Parkway to Exit 80 (U.S. 9 South). 5-6 miles south to Brennan Concourse (there are signs for Trixie's Landing and Berkeley Island Park). Road takes 2 right angle turns, but is marked. Beach area is on right before main park entrance at end of road. Trixie's Landing is a small marina on left, owned by Bob Bergstedt, former Hobie (curent Nacra) dealer and avid cat racer.
