About the place: The Great Sacandaga Lake, a man made resivoir built to control flooding on the Hudson River, the upper end of the lake by the campground is a great little area to learn and also hold regattas, August 14 & 15, 1999. The "BIG" lake a short hop through the channel offers a great spot to really play especially when the wind picks up. Directions: I90 (nys thruway) to Amsterdam exit 27, to Rt.30 north to North Hampton. First campground sign will be on the right follow to next intersection and follow sign to right again straight down to end will find the ranger station. If you stay on 30 to tne Northville sign just past it will be a public launch but the bridge is too short for sailboats.
