About the place:
Great place to sail, one of my personal favorites. It located right under the Chesapeake bay bridge next to historical Annapolis. The winds are usually 10-15 in the middle of the Bay, but it changes pretty quickly to either viloent or just plain gone. The water gets to about 10 feet deep off of the shore fairly quickly and goes right out to the middles of the Bay. There are breakwalls though, watch out for submerged rocks near them. The beaches are soft sand, no rocks. I go barefoot all day, I've found no broken glass or sharp objects in the water. There are NO lifeguards, NO safety patrols, but there are always lots of other sailors there to help if someone is in trouble. The boats are highly visible from the beach because it overlooks the sailing areas (middle of the Bay).
