In winter the wind and water are excellent, although in summer the traffic is rather bad. Water never below 60, air rarely below 50. Protected (bay) and shallow 7-9 ft. If you're lucky, you may well get to see an alligator, and you will certainly see lots of other wildlife. If you go in summer, be very sure to bring your best mosquito repellent.
