Wind Conditions: Excellent Water Conditions: Good Launch facilities: Good Beach conditions: Good Traffic conditions: Excellent Safety: Charges: $3.50 parking (State Park) About the place: Among the top 10 Inland Lakes for sailing. Shallow (avg. depth less than 35ft.) so at 15mph, water begins to whip up. Avg. daily blow around 16mph.... Season goes from late March through Thanksgiving(for the faithful). Lake is 10 miles N-to- S, About 3miles E-to-W at its broadest pt. Winds are either SSW or N. Showers(hot), camping lakeside, etc. good place to come home to. @20 miles west of wichita, on HW-54, then 4 miles north. Can't miss it. Active racing in summer.
