Frank fall down and go boom. Again.

I could hardly believe it when this came across the wire today:

"KVAERNER LAUNCHES ROCKET VESSEL

Kvaerner's Govan yard has launched the rocket assembly and command ship for the Sea Launch consortium. The ship is due for completion in June next year."

Obviously, OTW should have acted quickly to patent it's "Rocket Hobie". I'm sure Kvaerner will be looking for a test pilot, Frank, so stay by that phone!

Regards, Jim O'Connell

Their test may be totally unnecessary. Bill and I will file our test reports soon as the police are through with their investigation. -Ed.

I stumbled onto some of your articles on "on the wire" and just wanted to drop you a line to let you know I really enjoyed them I shared them with our fleet (CRAC) and found myself searching the archives for more stuff you did. THe JATO and PCW articles had me in tears!!

Keep it up

Brad Albert

If you think you were in tears, you should have seen Frank in the emergency room. -Ed.
Frank,
I just visited "On the Wire". Bill has gotten you into another fine mess. I think the JATO's would have worked with a little horizontal stabilization. You apparently had excellent lateral control as evidenced by your contrail.

What is next, ruby lasers?

Dennis Millican

Let's face it: We'll try anything. Forget the horizontal stabilization, though. We mention a "retry" of the JATO thing, and Frank's on the floor in a fetal position. -Ed.

Need to borrow a boat?

No need for a boat to go sailing, the central coast hobie fleet has two boats that the fleet owns that is left on the beach in Santa Barbara, It is for fleet member's use. All you have to do is get checked out on the boats. And be paid up member to get the combo for the sail locker, We have an 18 and an 16, fleet dues for the year is $15 and $45 for boat use. For information contact Ron at hobieron@utech.net.

Thanks Ron! This looks very handy for vacationing sailors who could not bring a boat, and sailors new to Hobies. -Ed.
