    Wrong. I disagree.

    All or most of the pressure on the mast base is compressional; from
    the mast pressing downward on the dolphin striker rod.

    In my opinion, changing any rivets because you have capsized twice is
    ludicrous.

    Dismastings, by usual causes, causes little if any stress on the mast
    base.
