I think I finally found my first Hobie. I am going to check this boat out on Sat. and need to know what to look for. The boat was built in 1982, same as trailer which needs new bearing and tires to make the trip. I know the boat comes with a double trapeze. Other than that I was told by seller no stress cracks or soft spots of hulls. Sails are decent and running rigging needs to be replaced. Trampoline is good. What would be a reasonable price for this in the North East? icon_confused icon_confused icon_confused

Sorry you didn't get a quicker answer to this. Did you buy the boat?

As to what to look for, look for stress cracks and soft spots! icon_wink

Also take a careful inventory of all the rigging, print a rigging guide from the hobie website so you know what is needed to rig. Unroll the sails and inspect. The small easily forgotten parts are all expensive to replace and can add up quickly if they are missing.

Let us know how it went!
