Just curious if there are any A-cats here in Chicago. I'm in the market for a used one, but I'd like to (in general) confirm what I know about them on the water before I drive a long way to buy one.
So if there are any a-cats around who wouldn't mind giving a featherweight a ride, I'd love it.
My Sol Cat 18 is a bit much boat to be sailing single handed in any interesting wind.
Get in touch!

Not sure about Chicagoland, but there will be quite a few (probably around 10) at the CRAM Muskegon regatta on August 24-26. Check http://cramsailing.com/muskegon_new.htm for details

Thanks! That gave me the idea to look at the CRAW website. Their Lighthouse II regatta has 15 a-cats registered, including some semi-legendary names. :O It started today, but with gale warnings at 35kts, possible waterspouts and waves @6-10ft, today's sailing may be cancelled. http://www.crawsailing.org/ Tomorrow should be saner.
