OSYC and the City of Ocean Springs Mississippi Commerative 1699 Regatta
In concert with the City of Ocean Springs to commemorate the April 1699 landing of French explorer Pierre Lemoyne D’Iberville. Bouy races off the front beach in Ocean Springs, reenactment of the landing of D’Iberville and ensuing friendship with local native Americans, and an awards ceremony. Food and drink to be decided. Parking, setup, etc at Ocean Springs Yacht Club.
Open for Waves to Carbon 20s and high school 420s. Local HS teams are invited and will have separate starts and shorter course.
This is the second regatta of 2012 for the Open 20 class.
